SINOPSE :-
A agente do FBI, Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) é ordenada a encontrar um assassino que arranca a pele de suas vítimas. Para entender como ele pensa, ela procura o periogoso psicopata, Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins), encarcerado sob a acusação de canibalismo.
CURIOSIDADES :-
– Foi o terceiro filme na história a receber os 5 principais Oscars. Os demais foram Aconteceu Naquela Noite (1934) e Um Estranho no Ninho (1975);
– Este é o 1º de dois filmes em que a personagem Clarice Sterling aparece. O posterior foi Hannibal (2001);
– Este o 2º de 5 filmes em que o personagem Hannibal Lecter aparece. Os demais foram Dragão Vermelho (1986), Hannibal (2001), Dragão Vermelho (2002) e Hannibal – A Origem do Mal (2007);
– Anthony Hopkins descreveu sua voz como Hannibal Lecter como uma mistura de Truman Capote e Katharine Hepburn;
– O primeiro ator a quem foi oferecido o papel de Hannibal Lecter foi Gene Hackman. Quando o diretor Jonathan Demme se envolveu com o projeto, ele convidou em primeiro lugar a atriz Michelle Pfeiffer para interpretar Clarice Sterling;
– Apenas dois atores que participaram de O Caçador de Assassinos aparecem em O Silêncio dos Inocentes, e mesmo assim em papéis diferentes. São eles: Frankie Faison e Dan Butler.
